Supporting nurses to grow skills and strengthen patient care

COORDINARE supported primary care nurses across South Eastern NSW through two APNA Festival of Nursing scholarships, enabling local practice nurses to attend the national conference and access professional development, practical learning and peer connection opportunities. The scholarships recognised the vital contribution nurses make to primary care while helping build workforce capability across the region.

The festival provided opportunities for nurses to strengthen clinical knowledge, develop practical skills and explore emerging trends in health care, including leadership, innovation and AI. Scholarship recipients Kathryn, a practice nurse at Bomaderry Creek Health Centre, and Miranda, a practice nurse at Bradfordville Family Medical Centre, highlighted the value of the experience.

By investing in ongoing learning and development opportunities, COORDINARE is helping to build a skilled, connected and resilient primary care workforce equipped to meet the evolving health care needs of communities across South Eastern NSW.
