Celebrating excellence in pharmacy care

A huge congratulations to Bente Hart, a member of COORDINARE’s Southern NSW Clinical Council, on being named NSW Pharmacist of the Year at the 2026 Pharmaceutical Society of Australia NSW Pharmacist Awards. 

Bente is an incredible asset to the Braidwood community and was recognised for her outstanding leadership, dedication to rural health care, and commitment to improving medication safety and patient outcomes across regional communities. 

Through her work in aged care, clinical governance, workforce education, and community health, Bente continues to make a lasting difference to the lives of people across Southern NSW.

As a valued member of COORDINARE's Southern NSW Clinical Council, Bente also brings her expertise and frontline experience to help inform and strengthen primary health care across the region.

This well-deserved achievement reflects the passion, expertise and care she brings to both her profession and community every day.

Being named the NSW Pharmacist of the Year means that I will be able to shine a light on rural pharmacists and the many roles we have in our rural communities. It is much more than supply of medicines, but also their safe and effective usage.
