We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands across which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ continuing connection – both physical and spiritual – to land, sea and sky.
Expanding suicide aftercare support
COORDINARE strengthened suicide prevention services across South Eastern NSW by expanding universal aftercare through a partnership with Mission Australia, alongside Grand Pacific Health's existing Next Steps program.
The enhanced model improves access to free, person-centred support for people following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis, while increasing regional capacity and strengthening referral pathways.
Mission Australia's Rebuild program delivers additional face-to-face support in Shoalhaven and Goulburn-Mulwaree, helping address local service gaps and ensuring more people can access timely support close to home.
Delivered by peer workers and care coordinators, universal aftercare provides rapid follow-up support tailored to each individual's needs, helping people stay safe, connect with health and community supports, and move from crisis toward recovery and long-term wellbeing.
